Rural school visits near Jaipur, India

During my documentary work for the DAHW (German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association), I also visited two rural schools near Jaipur in Rajasthan.

The kids you see here come from very poor families that live nearby. Most families in that area are farmers.

I had so much fun with those kids. During lunch break, we played several games at the schoolyard and everybody super happy. The highlight was an incredible dance performance by several kids in the teachers lounge. Dance is a very important cultural property for the people of Rajasthan. The principal of the school even forced me to join them dancing :) it was great...

Special thanks to Mukesh Sharma for being such a great host.
